  • Led beginning-to-end production of over 400 daily podcast episodes, handling everything from pitching to mixing and hosting.

  • Researched and reported for long-term projects, producing over nine special multi-part series and two newsroom-wide multi-platform projects on the 2024 election.

  • Excelled in field reporting, sourcing, writing, and storytelling to create compelling, high-quality audio that resulted in over 1,000,000 downloads.

  • Reported, produced, and hosted long-form, heavily reported narrative science podcast episodes for WSJ’s The Future of Everything.

  • Produced consistent social media content, sourced archival tape, supported other producers, and created production schedules, among other administrative tasks for the show.

  • Pitched over 30 feature stories, based on breaking research and technological developments.

 

Newsroom Intern, The Miami Herald

June 2021- August 2021

  • Covered the Surfside condominium collapse as part of the breaking news team, contributing to the Miami Herald’s 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News.

  • Sourced reliable city officials and local leaders, which resulted in multiple scoops and feature stories. Assisted senior reporters with research, reporting, and fact-checking.

January 2021- June 2021

  • Pitched, reported, and produced segments for Weekend All Things Considered and Weekend Edition. Researched and conducted pre-interviews for potential show guests, preparing briefing documents for hosts, senior producers, and editors.

  • GHQ: As an on-air host, I curate and host a weekly 3-hour show called “Afternoons with Ari” on UF’s top 40 music station. During the show, I reported local and national news to our audience across Gainesville. 

  • She’s the First: As the Vice President of Public Relations, I use tools to market our non-profit organization to other students. I also create virtual fundraisers to raise money for the education of girls in low-income countries.
